Basilio (55) is hired to clean a beach in Bahía de los Ángeles, Mexico, collecting trash from mostly American tourists. Despite the beauty and friendly locals, his employer hasn’t paid him in two months. Needing money to return to his family in the U.S., where he was deported three years ago, he refuses to quit. In this paradise, illegal totoaba fishing, the “cocaine of the sea,” thrives. When Basilio reports a fisherman, his dream turns into a nightmare.
